Trifleet Leasing appoints Erik Henstra as Managing Director

DORDRECHT, MAINPORT ROTTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS, Sept. 1 – Trifleet Leasing Holding B.V. (“Trifleet”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Chicago-based GATX Corporation (NYSE: GATX), announced that Erik Henstra has been appointed as Managing Director, effective Sept. 1.

“Erik is a proven leader with extensive international experience in asset leasing and associated services,” said Thomas A. Ellman, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of GATX. “We are confident that Erik is the ideal person to build on Trifleet’s successes and guide Trifleet in its next phase of growth.”

Mr. Henstra brings a wealth of experience in working with international customers and an entrepreneurial spirit to build sustainable business models jointly with customers and suppliers. During his tenure at LeasePlan, Mr. Henstra held various senior roles in finance, commerce and operations, including serving as managing director of LeasePlan The Netherlands. Mr. Henstra holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Nyenrode Business University and a master’s in economics from the University of Groningen, and he completed a post-master in controlling at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

CHICAGO, Dec. 30, 2020 – GATX Corporation (NYSE:GATX) today announced its acquisition of Trifleet Leasing Holding B.V., the fourth largest global tank container lessor. Headquartered in the Netherlands with offices worldwide, Trifleet owns and manages a fleet of over 18,000 tank containers leased to a diverse customer base in the chemical, industrial gas, energy, food, cryogenic and pharmaceutical industries, as well as to tank container operators.

Trifleet expands tank container fleet of 20ft cryogenic tank containers

The technically advanced tank containers have a lower tare weight and higher payload capacity.

April 30, 2019, Dordrecht, Mainport Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Trifleet Leasing, the world’s largest owner-managed tank container leasing company, is expanding its tank container fleet with twenty 20ft 22,000-liter cryogenic tank containers for gases such as CO2, liquid oxygen, nitrogen, liquid argon and LNG. The first tanks are already available, and the full range will be delivered by June 2019.
